Startseite Treatment spectrum Hyperthermia and fever therapy
Hyperthermia and fever therapyto activate the body's self-healing powers
The word hyperthermia comes from the Greek and means overheating. We distinguish between two types of hyperthermia: firstly, systemic whole-body hyperthermia (Iratherm 1000® ), in which the entire organism is heated to 38.5° C (101.3ºF) and above. The second is local hyperthermia, in which only one region of the body is exposed to hyperthermia. In both methods, we create a kind of artificial fever from the outside. The third type, Active Fever Therapy, is different: here it is the body itself that generates the fever through an infusion of bacterial proteins and mistletoe preparations.
Whole-body hyperthermia (Iratherm 1000®)
Whole-body hyperthermia uses infrared-filtered radiation to increase the core body temperature in the moderate (up to 38.5° C/101.3ºF) to extreme (up to 40.5° C/104.9ºF) fever range. Unlike a sauna or infrared cabin, whole-body hyperthermia not only heats the surface of the body, but also aims to gently warm the core body temperature. To achieve this, we use the Iratherm 1000 whole-body hyperthermia device® . This only releases the energy in the deeper layers of the skin, making the heat development more tolerable for patients. During the treatment, the patient lies undressed and covered with a heat foil on a couch equipped with a special net so that the sweat can drip off easily. Our trained staff constantly monitor and care for the patient throughout the duration of the therapy.
Depending on the temperature level and duration of application, whole-body hyperthermia achieves a medical effect for
- Stimulation of the body's energy
- Detoxification
- Metabolic activation
- Inflammation inhibition
- Immunostimulation
- Increased defense
- Reduction of muscle tone through relaxation and pain relief

Areas of application of whole-body hyperthermia
Areas of application of whole-body hyperthermia
- Fibromyalgia, polymyalgia and arthralgia
- Rheumatic diseases such as arthrosis, arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, etc.
- Chronic pain of all kinds
- Autoimmune diseases
- Stimulation of elimination and detoxification
- Chronic infections of all kinds (Lyme disease, viruses, bacteria, etc.)
- Cancer in combination with other therapeutic procedures
among others
Local hyperthermia (Indiba®)
For local hyperthermia, we use the Indiba® device. Two electrodes trigger a movement of ions in the tissue via alternating current and thus generate localized deep heat. This allows us to treat specific areas of the body, such as the liver or kidneys. The treatment restores the natural cell membrane potential, stimulates microcirculation in the tissue and activates cell metabolism. In this way, we create a basic prerequisite for initiating the healing process.
Areas of application of local hyperthermia
- Chronic infections (Lyme disease, sinusitis, tonsillitis, cystitis, etc.)
- Rheumatic diseases (arthrosis, arthritis, etc.)
- Sports injuries, torn muscle fibers, sprains, analgesia of the nerve endings
- Cancer of small and medium-sized tumors in combination with other therapeutic procedures
- Activation of the elimination organs
Active fever therapy with bacterial lysates and mistletoe
In active fever therapy, we administer fever-inducing bacterial proteins and mistletoe preparations to the body via an infusion and the body generates the fever itself. This fever reaction is a holistic process. Active fever therapy can break through regulatory blockages, strengthen the immune system, suppress tumors and contribute to inner balance.
Areas of application of active fever therapy
- Oncological diseases of all kinds (as part of active pre- and aftercare)
- Chronic infections and inflammations (Lyme disease, viral infections, sinusitis, bronchitis, cystitis)
- Inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis)
- Rheumatic diseases, fibromyalgia
- Chronic pain, so-called "regulatory rigidity"
- Upset moods, reactive depression, grief processing
