Gentle Disinfection with Powerful Effects:Ozone in Dentistry
Dear patients,
We are pleased to introduce a proven and at the same time gentle therapy that meaningfully complements our dental treatment concept: ozone therapy. It offers an effective way to reliably reduce inflammatory bacteria, viruses and fungi in the oral cavity – entirely without side effects.
Why use ozone in dentistry?
Microorganisms in the mouth are the main cause of almost all dental and gum diseases, from caries to periodontitis.
Following dental procedures such as tooth extractions, periodontal treatments, or peri-implant therapies, bacteria can lead to postoperative complications and delay the healing process. This is where ozone therapy comes in, with targeted effect.
What is ozone, and why do we use it?
Ozone is a natural compound made up of three oxygen atoms and is a part of our atmosphere.
At Alpstein Clinic, we apply ozone in bound form – as so-called ozonated water – directly in the mouth. This way, the respiratory system remains completely unaffected.
Another key benefit: ozone therapy does not cause resistance, unlike conventional antibiotics.
The treatment is gentle, pain-free, and has no known side effects.
The benefits of ozone at a glance:
- Reliable disinfection
- Reduction of bacteria, viruses and fungi
- Hemostatic properties
- Pain relief
- Promotion of wound healing
Applications of ozone therapy:
- Interruption of chronic inflammatory processes in the oral cavity
- Sustained pain relief
- Activation of metabolism and strengthening of the immune system
- Gentle treatment of residual caries and root infections
- Support for the integration of dental implants
- Complementary support for integrative medicine therapies
- Gentle alternative to antibiotics in conventional medicine
