Metal-free – by conviction
The Alpstein Clinic follows a consistently metal-free treatment concept. We therefore use ceramic implants made of high-purity zirconia. The material is characterised by biocompatibility, high strength and natural aesthetics.
Zirconia ceramic implants are already described in dental guidelines as a scientifically recognised alternative to titanium implants.
Zirconia is a bioinert, corrosion-resistant oxide ceramic without metallic zirconium. The material provides favourable conditions for integration into the bone and for the attachment of the gum tissue.

Precision begins long before implantation
The success of implantation does not begin in the operating theatre, but during the planning stage. Using modern digital volume tomography (DVT), we create three-dimensional images of the jaw. This allows the bone structure, nerve pathways, sites of inflammation and the available bone volume to be assessed in detail.
We then plan the implant position together with experienced technicians, taking into account the anatomical conditions and the prosthetic alignment.
These precise diagnostics support:
- an approach that is as minimally invasive as possible
- consideration of the anatomical structures and the subsequent prosthetic restoration
- an appropriate implant position
- individual planning based on the anatomical conditions
Careful planning creates important conditions for implantation, healing and the long-term function of the dental prosthesis.
Think holistically – treat individually
Successful implantation depends not only on the implant material and the surgical procedure. Equally important are the patient’s general state of health, bone quality, micronutrient supply, an environment that is as free from inflammation as possible and an individual treatment plan.
We therefore assess every patient holistically. In addition to the local situation, we also include systemic factors in diagnostics and treatment planning. This biologically integrative approach is an essential part of our daily work.
Who are ceramic implants suitable for?
Whether a ceramic implant is suitable in an individual case is assessed as part of the dental diagnostics and treatment planning. It may be considered in particular when the following wishes or initial situations apply:
